VERONIC VOICES (DiCaire)

Singer and imitator, Véronic DiCaire has a path punctuated with versatility and perseverance. Recognized to interpret with incredible accuracy the greatest voices of French, Québécois and American song, she rakes broad and impresses wherever she goes.

A Canadian born in Embrun , a small community in eastern Ontario, the singer-imitator has had a blistering career in recent years.

Passionate about singing since her youngest age, Véronic impresses the jury of the Ontario Pop contest when she was only 17 years old. She won 1st prize in the performer category. Then, she will touch the world of the musical one time with the role of Sandy in the Quebec adaptation of GREASE.

But it is under his own voice that Véronic DiCaire really made a name for himself in French Canada with a first folk-rock album released by Warner in 2002, which earned him two nominations at the ADISQ Gala and five Trille awards. Or at the Gala de la chanson and Franco-Ontarian music in 2003.

In March of the same year, she returned to the musical to perform Roxie Hart’s role in the French production of CHIGAGO – La Comédie Musicale, alongside comedian Anthony Kavanagh (in Montreal) and Stéphane Rousseau (in Paris). Success in Quebec first and then at the Casino de Paris in 2004. She had previously doubled the voice of Renée Zellweger for the French version of the film, which again demonstrates his talent and versatility as an artist.

Spring 2005-2006, she released a second album and followed the tours, galas, TV shows (a first as an animator), a TV series and a theater revue.

In 2007, she began to unveil her talents as an imitator, notably at Just for Laughs in Montreal and Le Grand Rire in Quebec City.

In 2008, Céline Dion and René Angélil entrusted him with the first part of Taking Chances at the Bell Center in Montreal. In one evening, his life had changed! With the triumph she won, she sold out everywhere in Quebec and carried her many voices to Europe. If the French first knew her as judge on the show X factor, they soon discovered the exceptional talent of this artist who can especially imitate Piaf to perfection. Her great European tour took her 12 times to the Olympia de Paris and all over France, Switzerland and Belgium from 2010 to 2012.

Between June 2013 and 2015, Veronic presented a brand new show – Voices – at the Jubilee Theater at Bally’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. She personified fifty of the greatest American and international voices. Her show – co-produced by Celine Dion – won Best Singer at the 2014 Best of Las Vegas Awards and she was selected Best Impersonator – successor to Danny Gans by the contest’s editorial team.

Between her stays in Las Vegas, Véronic also presented a brand new show – La Voix des Autres – touring French Canada. She is now preparing her second tour in Europe  … but before it will be Dance with the Stars, on TF1 !
