DAVID MERRY

Here’s the perfect way to illustrate the value of creativity, innovation, and thinking “out of the box”. The show is all about Dave presenting his crazy array of props, inventions, remote control gags, animatronics and pyrotechnics, plus some magic thrown in for good measure. He’s the Canadian version of the popular US prop comic “Carrot Top”. It’s kind of like Rodney Dangerfield meets Penn and Teller. David has been a National headliner in comedy clubs and corporate events across North America for 15 years doing 275 dates annually. He’s been the opening act for Jerry Seinfeld, Neil Sedaka, Michael Bolton, Howie Mandell, and The Beach Boys. He has written jokes for Rodney Dangerfield, Joan Rivers, and Jay Leno. His TV credits include A&E’s “An Evening at the Improv”, SCTV, Club 54, Open Mike with Mike Bullard, and his own 1/2 hour CBC special of “Comics”. David’s passion is golf and he keeps extremely busy doing corporate and charity outings as The Golf Comic, offering a golf clinic and a comedy show package. He is currently the host of Global TV’s “Get a Grip on Golf” seen Sunday afternoons from coast to coast. He also hosts Global TV’s sports trivia show “Game On”. David’s golf program starts off with short 10 minute clinics for groups of 50 to 75 people. He then stays around giving tips and hints to individuals as they wait to Tee-Off. He can then be placed at a certain hole to challenge participants to a “Closest to the Pin” contest. At the 19th. hole, Dave can MC a dinner, hand out prizes, and/or perform an after-dinner comedy show.
