Wherever a major sporting events is taking place, you can be sure Nik & the Nice Guys are there entertaining. Their credits include the past 10 Super Bowls, several Canadian football Grey Cups, the Calgary Winter Olympics, the Barcelona Summer Olympics, the All-Star games for the NHL and NBA, and others too numerous to mention. In addition, they were the house band on the nationally syndicated “Bob Uecker Sports Show” and TSN/ESPN’s “Lighter Side of Sports”. The Nik organization has a complete wardrobe department. This band will dress for any occasion from blue jeans to black tie. If it’s a themed event, the Nice Guys will come in costume from Arabian Nights to Saturday Night Fever….you name it. Nik and the Nice Guys were formed in the 1970’s by a group of Canadian hockey players on scholarship in the U.S. that included NHL coach Mike Keenan and present day Nik manager, Gary Webb. The group disbanded upon graduation, but then reformed in the 1980’s in Rochester, N.Y., when Keenan accepted a coaching job with the Rochester Americans. Originally, the recreated Nik was a means for day-time business professionals to become night-time party animals raising funds for charity. However, the continued success of the band has led to a full-time musical and professional touring entourage.
