Burton has been honoured with 10 JUNO Awards and 33 songwriting awards. As lead singer and songwriter for The Guess Who in the '60s and '70's, Burton toured the world performing their many megahits. In 1976, Burton began a solo career, again producing hit after hit. His album "Dream of a Child" became the first Canadian album to achieve triple platinum sales status. Currently Burton is touring North America with a whole new concept - just the man and his piano. As he explains during his show, these are how the songs sounded like as he was composing them sitting at a piano in his living room. Audiences are enjoying the rare opportunity to hear the "behind the scenes" anecdotes of these hit tunes they have enjoyed over the years. This intimate concept has received rave reviews, prompting Burton to record his latest album "Up Close And Alone".
